What we do
Safety is built into the app, not bolted on.
- Your phone number is never shown. It is only used for signing in and safety.
- Your location is rounded to about 1 km. People see your city and a rough distance, never where you are.
- Every photo gets an automatic check before it appears on a profile.
- Verified means a live face check. The badge shows the person passed a live camera check that matches their own photos.
- Chats and reports are checked for abuse, spam, scams and rule-breaking.
- Report or block anyone from their profile or your chat. Our team reviews every report.
- 18+ only. If you think someone is under 18, report them right away.
Stay safe
If something feels off, trust your instincts.
Chatting online
- Never share OTP codes, passwords, bank details or intimate photos.
- Be careful with links, and with people who want to move to another app quickly.
- Don’t send money or gifts to someone you met online, whatever the story.
- If someone pressures you, threatens you or makes you uncomfortable, block and report.
Meeting in person
- Meet in a public place the first time.
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going.
- Arrange your own transport.
- Keep your phone charged, and stay sober enough to make good decisions.
- Leave straight away if anything feels wrong.
Community guidelines
Shaadi Parrot is a respectful space for meaningful connections. These rules apply to profiles, photos and messages.
We expect you to
- Be honest and authentic.
- Treat others with respect.
- Use appropriate, non-explicit photos.
- Respect different cultures, religions and communities.
- Keep conversations safe and consensual.
We don’t allow
- Harassment, bullying, hate speech or discrimination.
- Threats, incitement to violence or glorifying violence.
- Sexual content involving minors. Zero tolerance.
- Scams, spam, impersonation, or asking for money or gifts.
- Sharing someone’s private information without consent.
- Explicit nudity or pornographic content.
If someone breaks these rules, block and report them. We may remove content, restrict features or ban accounts to protect people on the app.
How to report
- Open the person’s profile or your chat with them.
- Tap Report, choose what happened and send.
- Block them if you don’t want to hear from them again.
Need to reach us directly?
Write to support@shaadiparrot.com. For complaints under Indian law, use the subject “Grievance” and include your registered phone number, the profile or content concerned and a short description.
We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days. Content showing nudity, a sexual act or impersonation is removed within 24 hours of a valid complaint.
