This page is for Shaadi Parrot, the dating app for Android developed by DeLuca Family Universe LLC. It explains how to delete your account and what happens to your data afterwards. We’re sorry to see you go.
Delete it in the app
- Open Shaadi Parrot and go to your Profile tab.
- Tap the Settings button (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm three times: Continue, Understood, then Delete.
The app tells you when your account has been deleted and signs you out. If it can’t finish, you’ll see a message asking you to try again, or you can email us instead.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. And if you have Parrot+, deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription: cancel it in Google Play too.
No app? Ask us by email
If you’ve uninstalled the app or can’t sign in any more, email support@shaadiparrot.com with the subject “Delete my account”. You can write from any email address.
- Include the phone number registered on your account, so we can find it.
- We’ll verify that the account is yours, delete it, and confirm by email.
- We acknowledge requests within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
What we delete
When your account is deleted, we delete:
- your profile
- your photos
- your likes and matches
- your chats
- your settings and progress data
What we may keep
We keep a small amount of information only where we need it for safety or the law:
- Limited safety records, for example a one-way hash of your phone number, kept to prevent ban evasion.
- Chats that are part of an open report, and chats of accounts suspended or blocked for breaking our guidelines: kept for up to 180 days for the safety review, then deleted.
- Records needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention and dispute resolution, where permitted by law.
We keep these only as long as necessary for those purposes. You can read more in our privacy policy.
Parrot+ and Google Play subscriptions
Deleting your account or the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Subscriptions are billed through your Google Play account, so please cancel there: Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. In the Play Store app, tap your profile picture first to find Payments & subscriptions.
Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policies, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
